(Interrupt, creating space, collective entity)
The figure begins wth parentheses, interrupting the two words, creating space between them. In a mathematical operation, the expression contained within parentheses are treated as a collective entity.
(inclusion, otherness, incompleteness, unity, contribution of parts, wholeness, oneness, expansion, drawing inward, revolution)
The segments of the parentheses become a circle with the inclusion of other halves that are of an other color. Despite its' otherness and incompleteness, we are still able to see unity, and its contiribtuion of its parts gives us a sense of wholeness and oneness. The space between in itself becomes a part of the circle and allows the movement of both expansion and drawing inward. Circles are the pathway of revolutions.
(meaning, power, protection, movement, journey, rhythm, potential, self realization, God, strength, nurture)
Circles have had meaning and power throughout history. From a Celtic perspective, they are protective emblems and drawn as protective boundaries, not to be crossed by evil. In Julien 71, "It implies an idea of movement, and symbolizes the cycle of time, the perpetual motion of everything that moves, the planets' journey around the sun, the great rhythm of the universe. The circle is also zero in our system of numbering, and symbolizes potential, or the embryo. It has a magical value as a protective agent, and indicates the end of the process of individuation, of striving towards wholeness and self-realization." Hermes Trismegistus describes God as a cicle, "whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere." Circles also carry the essence of the sun and moon, strength and nurture.
(balance, light and dark, fluidity, inifinite, grounding, undefined, inspiration, investigation, observation)
Grey and teal are colors that are in-between and ambiquous colors. Grey, consisting of a blend of white and black, represents the light and the dark that resides within us all. Teal, consists of blue and green.Blue represents the fluidity and infitiniteness of ocean and sky. Green represents the groundedness of the earth. The undefined nature of grey and teal is to offer us inspiration for investigation and observation.
(beautifully imperfect, courage, reveal, humanity, connection, equal)
The text is drawn by human hand, beautifully imperfect, and represents the invitation of the courage of revealing our humanity and to bring it forward. The letters are connected, echoing the connection between all things. Leaving behind uppercase letters, we leave behind the idea that one being is more important than another- we are all equal.
